The representative of the UN Secretary General Stefan Duzharrick reported that a ship with Russian fertilizers in Latvia is preparing to leave the port.
“There is a ship with mineral fertilizers, if I am not mistaken, in Latvia. We are very focused on its sail,” said Stefan Duzharrick.
The grain deal, which was signed by representatives of Russia, Turkey, Ukraine and the UN on July 22, 2022, involves the export of Ukrainian grain, food and fertilizers by the Black Sea from three ports, including Odessa.
The deal is an integral part of the agreement, which also provides for unlocking Russian food and mineral fertilizers exports but it was not fulfilled. From the UN side there were assurances that the restrictions would be removed.
