The global market is experiencing high volatility in nitrogen fertilizer prices, in particular, due to the continued high cost of natural gas amid the expected growth in seasonal demand from India, South America, and Europe, said in the press-release of PhosAgro on its operating and financial results for the nine months of 2022.
“The phosphorus fertilizer market in Q42022 is traditionally characterized by an off-season period in the main sales directions, which puts additional pressure on prices. However, the lack of exports from China, due to continued export restrictions in favor of deliveries to the domestic market, will restrain a downward trend in the global phosphorus fertilizer market as a whole,” it says.
