Representatives of the Russian Fertilizer Producers Association (RFPA) announced their plans to apply to the Russian government to obtain additional quotas for the autumn export of fertilizers. Also, members of the RFPA plan to propose for consideration the replacement of export quotas with its licensing.
The head of the RFPA, Andrey Guryev, has previously stated that quotas and duties on the export of mineral fertilizers are unnecessary. According to his statement, they hold back the supply of products to other countries.
Recall that from January 1, 2023, the export duty on mineral fertilizers is 23.5% if the cost of fertilizers exceeds $450 per ton.
